About the event
Sky’s the limit this year! The ONLY rule we have is your house must fit on an 18 inch square base and be constructed of all edible items. Use your own board base or drop in to Gitche Gummee Landing to obtain one. Contestants are encouraged to use their imagination to produce a House that is unique and creative.
All houses must be completed prior to drop off, no construction onsite. All entries will be judged on Originality | Creativity and Overall appearance; Unique use of materials, and difficulty of design and construction.
1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $50
3rd Place - $25
People's Choice - $25
They will be judged for First, Second, Third place, and the People’s Choice Award. Please visit the free Museum open house Saturday, December 7th in the OAC Gallery to vote! Winners will be announced during the Hometown Christmas Parade on Sunday, December 8, at the Hometown Christmas Light Parade
The Collective will also serve concertgoers refreshments during intermission at the Christmas Concert on Friday, Dec 6th.
The Collective was created to provide opportunities for artists, makers, and creators to highlight their talents. By providing facilities and resources to the local artists, the Collective’s goal is to grow public engagement, create constructive collaboration between businesses and strengthen community. We are stronger together!
